Tips For Buying A Designer Handbag

Let’s face it – most women can’t get by without their handbag or purse.  It’s got everything in it – cell phone, purse, cosmetics, plus all the things your partner can’t fit in his pockets.  Buying a new handbag is a big deal, which is probably why most of us delay it for as long as possible.  And if you’re going to be spending some big dollars, that makes it even harder.

When the time comes to purchase a new designer handbag, there are a number of decisions you should think about before you even start searching.  Firstly, what sort of handbag do you want?  Do you want one that’s big enough to carry the bathroom sink if required?  Do you have small kids and need to carry around nappies, basic first aid gear, a drink, or maybe some small toys?  A larger handbag may also be a good choice if you expect to do a lot of travelling.  It can be great to carry some extra bits and pieces in the plane with you.

Perhaps you want to go to the other end of the scale and buy a small clutch handbag for that big night out.  One just big enough to pop in your lip gloss, cell phone, keys and very little else.  You can have one clutch that suits all your wardrobe, or mix and match with your special outfits.

The third option is somewhere in the middle.  Large enough to fit all the necessities, maybe even hold a magazine for those boring times spent sitting on the train, but not much else.  This is the size of handbag that most women choose as their daily handbag.

Now that you’ve chosen the style of designer handbag you’re looking for, the next thing is to think about colour.  If you’re going to be using the handbag most of the time with various outfits, then something that is fairly simple and goes with most of your wardrobe is the best choice.  For a special occasion clutch, you might prefer to splash out on something a little bit colourful or different that goes specifically with one outfit.

Now that you have decided on the size and colour that best suits you, all that’s left is to find the designer handbag that best fits those requirements – and your budget!
